Incremental Magnetic Tapes for Linear Measuring Systems
The magnetic tape contains the necessary digital information for linear length measurement by ELGO length measuring systems. Generally speaking, there is incremental and absolute measurement.
The incremental measuring systems contain scanning electronics which scans the alternating north and south poles on the encoded magnetic tape and generates a sine-cosine-signal (one signal per pole).
These signals are then interpolated electronically; the resolution of the measuring system is a result of the interpolation rate and the pole pitch.

P40 Compact Position Controller
The position controller of the P40 series is used for simple positioning applications, e. g. with wood or sheet metal processing machines. The main advantage of this controller is the simple, easy and fast entry of required positions and quantities. The actual value, target value and quantity are displayed by a well legible LCD display in the control panel. After entering a target position value and a quantity, the positioning process can be started. The P40 has an internal program memory for a maximum of 1,000 blocks.

Elastomer-based Magnetic Rings Radial & Axial Versions in Different Diameters
Magnetic pole rings in conjunction with the appropriate sensor technology are used wherever rotary movements, such as angular positions and speeds on axes and drives, have to be detected, monitored and controlled. The magnetic scanning principle is not only non-contact, wear-free and low-maintenance, it is also extremely robust under extreme environmental conditions. Since the complete system is bearing free, mechanical influences do not directly affect the entire sensor.
