ELGO’s compact and easy-to-use position indicators are the first choice of many machine operators when it comes to detecting and visualising position values on site. One of our favourites is the AZ16I position indicator, with its user-friendly programming and battery life up to 4 years. The AZ16I is a complete stand-alone system consisting of a battery powered position indicator, an integrated absolute sensor and a plastic sliding guide located on the rear of the device.
Included is a guide rail with the length of the distance, which has to be measured (max length of 2 metres). It is possible to line up to four 2 metre rails to achieve the maximum measuring length of 8 metres.

The ELGO-Guide Rails up to 2 metres are already equipped with the necessary absolute encoded magnetic tape. Thanks to the absolute measuring method, no further referencing is necessary after setting the zero point once.
Display
The display unit, which is equipped with a well legible 14mm high LCD display, offers a wide range of parameterization options and can easily be adapted to the respective application. For example, the indicator is programmable to display values in lengths of Milimetres, Metres or Inches. The parametres are set via the membrane keyboard with short-stroke keys on the front face.
