For many applications operating in extreme conditions, it is difficult to find precise and reliable measurement systems. The new sensor housing for the Temposonics R-Series V with rod style is designed for just such requirements.
The advanced sensor generation is clearly focused in industry 4.0 (IIoT) functions supporting machine monitoring, predictive maintenance and process optimization. The new sensor option consists in the R-Series V rod sensor model housed in the highest-grade steel housing, protecting the sensor and the precise non-contact technology within from nearly any corrosive and extreme environments. From submerged applications to the dusty lines of manufacturing plants – this sensor meets the strongest industry expectations and can achieve position feedback in many different types of applications.
The extremely robust Temposonics® sensor with super shield housing, RM5, ensures long-term linear position measurement in the harshest environments. Hermetically sealed with a housing completely made of stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), it meets the requirements of protection modes IP68 and IP69 and prevents downtime due to its rugged design, saving the user time and money. This high-quality sensor is available with the outputs Analog and SSI. More outputs will follow.
With the optionally obtainable smart assistants TempoLink® and TempoGate® the R-Series V transducers deliver detailed information about the application state, for example sensor status, temperature of the electronics, total operating hours, distance traveled by magnets and much more.
