Description
The V100-17-RS4X serial module adds an additional RS232 / RS485 (selectable via wiring and DIP switch settings) serial communication port to the PLC.
- RS232 is used to download programs from a PC and to communicate with other serial devices and applications such as SCADA.
- RS485 can be used to create a multi-drop network containing up to 32 devices.
- The V100-17-RS4X is isolated from the PLC. If isolation from the PLC is not required then the identical (non-isolated) V100-17-RS4 should be used.
Note: V100-17-RS4X is for use with the Samba, Vision130, Vision 350, Vision 430 and Vision 700 PLCs only.?To add an additional RS232 / RS485 port to the Vision V200, V570, V560, V1040 or V1210 use V200-19-RS4
