Increased Flexibility for Installation
POSITAL’s popular IXARC incremental encoder will be available with a special housing that features a cable entry angled at 45°. This compact design combines features of both axial and radial cable entries in a single unit. This provides the installer with greater flexibility when laying out the connection cable. This being particularly beneficial in tight spaces.
Moreover, the features of the encoder can be seen below:
- Compact Design for Easy Installation in Tight Spaces
- Combines Axial and Radial Features in One Unit Creating a Lower Logistic Costs
- Higher Protection Class Reaching IP65
- Water- and Dust-Tight Grommet
- Shorter Length of 32mm
- New Label Format with Connection Plan
- Programmability of Incremental Interfaces and Resolution via
Incremental Encoder Advantages
Furthermore, the new incremental encoder models share the advantages of other IXARC incremental encoders. The core magnetic measurement technology is rugged and also accurate. A wide variety of shaft configurations are available, reducing the need for costly adaptors or work-around. Additionally, a water and dust-tight grommet around the cable entry ensures that these devices meet IP65 level ingress protection. The housing is 36mm in diameter and 32mm long.
Simple Customizable Programming Features
IXARC incremental encoders are programmable: resolution can be set anywhere from one to 16,384 pulses-per-turn in software without requiring any changes to the mechanical properties of the devices. Similarly, pulse direction and the output driver – either Push-Pull (HTL) or RS422 (TTL) – can be defined through software parameters. Changes can be made quickly in the field and additionally in the shop using POSITAL’s easy-to-use UBIFAST programming tool.
